The pollen calendar shows us the periods of pollen production and release of each of the different plant species. According to the country, the calendar may diverge and in the same way, in one country there are variations every year depending on the fluctuation of climate change and others biological factors.
Due to the great variety of pollen, it is necessary to identify which of them is the cause of your allergies, in order to identify the period where there is a high concentration of it and use preventive measures. (1)
It is important to note that climate change favors the production of pollen, increasing the airborne pollen level and duration. Then, the mixture of pollen and air pollutants leads to an augmentation of allergic respiratory diseases, such as asthma and allergic rhinitis. The last publication by Pr. D’Amato shows the effect of climate changes on allergic and respiratory diseases. (2, 3)
